Building the Orx library on a Mac with Codelite

This article is not ready for use. Orx currently is not producing Project creation for Codelite due to Mac OS X SDK compatibility issues in Codelite. A feature request has been made to the developers: https://github.com/eranif/codelite/issues/2027. Once this feature is available, we will continue to produce Codelite projects again.

You can use Codelite on a Mac in order to build the Orx library. I will assume that you have covered the step at Cloning and building the Orx library on the Mac but have come here because you would rather use Codelite than gmake.

At the time of writing, there is a small workaround needed before you can compile.

Downloading Codelite for Mac

If you don't have Codelite yet, you can download from here: https://downloads.codelite.org

Note that Codelite will only work on newer versions of Mac OS X. Finding older versions is not easy. If you find a good repository for old Codelite versions on Mac, please let me know.

Adjusting the Orx library builds for Codelite

  1. Open Codelite
  2. Load the Orx Workspace from: ?
